Event: Story Feast Minneapolis: A Dinner at the Weisman Art Museum

The Weisman Art Museum designed by Frank Gehry on the University of Minnesota campus, overlooking the Mississippi River in Minneapolis — venue for the Story Feast dinner on October 24, 2026

Story Feast Minneapolis will take place on October 24th, 2026

On October 24th, guests will gather inside one of the most extraordinary buildings in Minnesota for a harvest dinner unlike anything else happening in the Twin Cities this year.

The Weisman Art Museum, Frank Gehry's shimmering stainless steel landmark on the banks of the Mississippi, becomes our dining room for one evening. The meal will be prepared by chefs Mateo and Erin Mackbee, the husband-and-wife team behind Krewe and Flour & Flower Bakery in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Mateo is a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: Midwest. Erin's Flour & Flower was named one of the best bakeries in America by The New York Times. They are two of the most talented and community-rooted chefs in the state, and they're returning to Story Feast for the second year.

Last fall, the Mackbees joined us for our inaugural gathering at St. John's Abbey, where guests shared a five-course harvest feast that received a standing ovation. Minnesota Monthly called the evening "a meditation on community, craft, and care." This year, we're bringing that energy into the heart of the city.

Frank Gehry’s Weisman Art Museum on the Banks of the Mississippi River

The Venue

The Weisman Art Museum sits on the bluffs above the Mississippi River on the University of Minnesota campus. Designed by Frank Gehry, the architect behind the Guggenheim Bilbao, its stainless steel facade has been a Minneapolis landmark since 1993. For one evening, this extraordinary space becomes our dining room.

Story Feast founder Jody Eddy is a University of Minnesota alumna who watched the Weisman being built as a student. This is a homecoming in every sense.
